The Team Lead, Software QA Engineering works as a leader of functional SQA engineers, which supports Align’s products during the entire software development lifecycle, i.e. at all stages of the project (analysis, development, testing and deployment). The Team Lead, Software QA Engineering main responsibilities will include will leading, mentoring, and developing a team of functional SQA Engineers, working with other SQA leadership to evaluate and improve current SQA and engineering processes, as well as building collaborations between Russian, US and Indian engineering centers.

In this role, you will…

• Manage team(s) of functional SQA engineers across multiple regions
• Mentor and Coach engineers in their technical and professional development
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and documentation of various software modules
• Drive close collaboration between Russian, US and Indian engineering centers
• Identify potential areas of improvement in app development and work with architecture, BA, development) to find and execute on potential solutions
• Influence and build relationships with peer managers with strong sense of team
• Drive and promote a culture of collaboration, agility, and ownership within and across teams
• Evaluate, collaborate on and improve upon current engineering processes
• Create new SQA standards and processes based upon company needs and industry’s best
• Own and rollout new or updated procedures across multiple environments and projects
• Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations

In this role, you’ll need …

• 5+ years hands on experience in a senior or leadership SQA position
• 5+ years hands on experience in Development or SQA functions
• Deep understanding of integrated system testing across clinical, user facing and manufacturing type applications
• Thorough understanding of the role of SQA in SDLC, testing processes and methodologies
• Proven experience and ability to manage people, processes, and technology
• Experience with acceptance test and behavior-driven test methodologies
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff and organize across groups, disciplines, and platforms
• Comfortable with ambiguity; adaptable to change with an attitude oof rolling with the punches
• Excellent communication, leadership, mentorship, and development skills
