We are looking for a product marketing manager who will be in charge of overseeing the promotion of our Kotlin programming language for server-side development. As a successful hire, you will be responsible for developing and advancing the market of server-side development, identifying new segments, and promoting the language. You will also be tasked with developing and influencing the Kotlin marketing strategy.

You will need to be a passionate, data-driven marketer with prior experience in managing marketing campaigns, research, and strategies, as well as familiarity with strategic and operational marketing.

You will join a motivated team of professionals, which in the last year have successfully helped Kotlin become a first-class language explicitly recommended by Google for Android development, win the prestigious OSCON Breakthrough of the Year award, and be voted the most-loved language in multiple worldwide large-scale community surveys such as the GitHub Octoverse and StackOverflow Developer Survey. Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a Kotlin marketing strategy at a global scale for the market of server-side development to drive adoption of the language among developers.

• Influence Kotlin product strategy at the corresponding markets to adapt the language and the ecosystem to the needs of the audience.

• Supervise quantitative and qualitative marketing research to keep a finger on the pulse of the market, the audience, and the competitors.

• Coordinate marketing activities across all communication channels to raise awareness and knowledge of the language and its capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, product marketing, marketing communications, related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, marketing mindset.

• This position does NOT require hands-on programming experience.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and coordinate activities across several teams.

• Ability to structure and solve complex problems in a fast-changing environment on a global scale.

• Fluent English.
