Job Overview
ClearScale is looking for a hands-on Solution Architect (SA) to participate in various custom solution and product development projects. Most of the projects led by ClearScale are AWS-centric. You will become a part of the distributed engineering team, responsible for preparing infrastructure, design solution architecture, leverage a full cycle of solution engineering, workload optimization, and operational support.
Responsibilities

Develop deep relationships with Enterprise and Mid-Market customers and act as their trusted technical advisor

Partner with the sales team, and help execute a sales strategy

Develop business cases, roadmaps and project proposals for cloud adoption, migration, transformation and innovation initiatives. SOWs capture the customer's requirements, propose solutions that meet their business and technical needs, and estimate the effort to deliver specific results

Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and ways cloud technology drives innovation. Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud

Act as the technical liaison between customers and our internal teams during the presales process

Lead requirements gathering meetings, evaluate and recommend third party tools, cloud technologies and processes ensuring highest quality solutions

Support Professional Services Delivery team with hands-on projects delivery to customers in the roles of a project technical leader, technical liaison and/or subject matter expert

Maintain knowledge of Customer’s projects, manage critical issues on the account, support the overall growth through a strong technical advisor role

Educate internal teams and customers, share best practices, build relationships with technical leaders across AWS and ClearScale

Collaborate with internal teams, including Technical Leads and Sales to contribute to ClearScale’s offerings by understanding technology developments, competition, and overall market direction.

Contribute to company’s publications, run customer workshops and webinars, contributing to, white papers, conferences, and industry events.
Qualifications
ClearScale expects successful candidate to have most of the following qualifications and skills:

Worked directly in the software or IT industry for 10+ years, preferably as a DevOps, SysOps or Solutions Architect

Experience working in Professional Services, Consulting and/or Outsourcing companies
-
5+ years of experience building complex AWS solutions and/or proven knowledge of the AWS platform and services
-
5+ years of customer-facing (Pre-Sales) experience, preferably in the mid-market and/or enterprise space
-
5+ years in a customer/partner facing role or extensive experience working with internal business leads to develop solutions. Experience executing business transformation projects, including technical delivery, team leadership and senior client relationship management

Good understanding of cloud native technologies

Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, service-offerings, and technical challenges

Broad knowledge and experience with DevOps-oriented processes and toolsets

Ability to set priorities, goals and time tables to achieve maximum productivity

Strong public speaking and writing skills

Excellent troubleshooting skills

Understand Agile & Lean principles

Ability to learn new technologies quickly; Demonstrable interest in emerging technologies
