We are seeking to hire a new team member who is passionate about finding, researching, and supporting early-stage companies that are transforming different industries. SkyWell VC has quite a successful portfolio, and we are looking forward to extend it supporting companies from Israel, Europe, and North American startup ecosystems.

We are looking for someone who takes a deep interest in accelerating the impact of new consumer technologies in the global landscape. As an Associate, you will be responsible (1) for supporting your team’s efforts to accelerate portfolio companies’ key go-to-market initiatives, (2) for deepening and expanding the SkyWell VC network of founders, partnering with VCs, scouts, market experts, and (3) for managing complex cross-functional team projects.

Sourcing:

• Conduct market analysis and opportunity identification via academic research, customer interviews, conferences, business incubators and University demo days, and peers (Angels/VCs)
• Proactively develop relationships with identified early stage (Pre-Seed, Seed, Series A) companies that align to our investment thesis and scope
• Help manage the investment pipeline process
• Perform market research and due diligence for potential investments, which may require financial or web-analytics modelling, interviewing customers/users or potential customers/users, or testing products and services
• Report to our investment team, which includes helping to set companies' valuations, writing quarterly updates, and packaging relevant material for key stake-holders
• Create content, events and more to build the firm’s brand in the global market

Technical Diligence and Investment Execution:

• Support the team’s initial screening and subsequent deep due diligence of potential investments – particularly in a business model and a tech stack evaluation, an assessment of technical scale/enterprise readiness, and technical/cyber risks
• Support development of diligence materials and Investment Memo/Scorecard
• Liaise with team members to support diligence checks (product, tech, and finance), and finalize investment execution (legal and finance)

Portfolio Companies:

• Support portfolio companies around product, engineering strategy and talent sourcing

Desired Skills and Experience:

• 1-3 years of work experience. Extensive experience in analytics and market research
• Good at Excel Modelling
• Resourceful and coachable
• Highly organized, great at research, note taking and completing projects in a timely manner
• Keen ability to prioritize, multi-task and deliver high quality results
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, diligence, and strong attention to detail
• Ability to prospect via email, LinkedIn
