HM CIS Data Team is looking for an experienced Data Designer to be hands on the BI Hub – a reporting service providing data products for the entire company within Data as a Service program.

The Data Designer is a key person responsible for ensuring communication between data owners, ETL professional and data scientists.

Starting with the study of data and business processes that create data, you will continue to contribute to the optimization of the DWH structure and will be responsible for development and maintenance of a Unified Data Model, Data Related Business Processes Registry, Meta- & Reference data as well as for projects oversight (data related issues).

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular study of available data, its sources and possible ways of use;
  • Contribute to DWH structure optimization;
  • Data Model, Reference and Meta data formation and maintenance up to date;
  • Data related Business Processes description, maintenance up to date and optimization;
  • Contribute to data products and analytics development.

Requirements:

  • Higher education in physics, computer science, mathematics or statistics (Master Degree / Ph.D. would be an advantage);
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Data / BI / DWH specialist;
  • Strong knowledge and experience of working with SQL;
  • Proficiency in building and maintenance a Data Model;
  • Knowledge of business process description notations and rules;
  • Sound Knowledge of Data Governance conceptual apparatus (Data Model, Data Architecture, Data Flow Diagram etc.);
  • Proficiency in BI (Tableau, Power BI, Cognos etc.) and in Python and Scala will be an advantage;
  • Experience working with Hadoop and Hadoop SQL instruments (Impala, Hive, Scoop etc.) and understanding of noSql and unstructured Data processing will be as well an asset;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and combination of analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and reporting;
  • English: Intermediate level or higher.
